A Treasure Trove of Memories

I am sitting here tonight (early morning, if I am being honest) reminiscing. Monday, I happened upon a CD at my parents house which was full of photos of Jack in his first few days and months of life. I have many (thousands) of similar photos, but - as these had all been taken with my mom's camera, and most at her house - I hadn't seen any of them. (Plus, she took most of the photos early on, because I had my hands full!) It's like opening a big present on Christmas morning each time I look at a new photo. I thought I'd share a couple before I close my eyes tonight, since I didn't start this blog until Jack was almost a year old. I can't believe how much he's changed in such a short amount of time. Wow.

Here he is, just after we brought him home, sleeping soundly in the cradle his Grandpa made for him. Still wearing his hospital bracelet. In a newborn onesie that nearly swallowed him whole.

I almost didn't recognize him in this shot, as it has to be the one and only time he had a pacifier in his mouth. Jack was always very opposed to the pacifier, although now he enjoys putting everyone else's in his mouth. Of course he does.

And this was taken right after his very first round of shots - one of the most traumatic experiences of my life.

Here's one where he's actually awake, and acting goofy. I am guessing he's around 5 months old.

And lastly, here's a little jewel of the two of us together, being silly like we always are. I remember this day. I just had no idea we had pictures of it!

Well, I am finally tired and off to bed. I'll share more soon. G'night!
