No Snow For You!!

The Snow Nazi. That's what I feel like today.
I can't let Jack go outside and play in all the fluffy, frozen goodness because he has been and still is sick with an awful cold. He has never had a cough quite like this one. And even if he felt great, we probably still couldn't go outside and make a snowman and snow angels because now Mommy is sick too, and Daddy's cold symptoms are beginning to emerge (just in time for his trip to blizzardly-cold Chicago next week.) . Ugh.

Last weekend, we were all 100% healthy. Not even a sniffle. And all the Nashville Weather Teams were predicting what sounded like the snowstorm of the century. And then, as one weatherperson put it, the "fluke of all flukes" occured: a warm pocket of air settled in right over Nashville preventing us from seeing hardly any of the white stuff. Jack was so excited, thinking he would have some snow to play in, but it didn't happen. And now it's here and we're stuck inside.

At least it's warm in here. And thank goodness we still have leftover food from when I stocked up last weekend, as is tradition here in Nashville anytime the words "Snow", "Ice", or "Wintry Mix" are mentioned. Yep, there may be no Snow for the Duncans, but there will certainly be plenty of Soup. And Instant Oatmeal. And other various non-perishible items still available at the Target Market last Friday afternoon.
