Vocab 101 With Professor Jack
Hilarity ensues at our house, thanks to our littlest resident.
Jack is talking up a storm now, making all kinds of sounds and noises that occassionally come out sounding like words or phrases. The other day, after doing something particularly cute, he looked up at Phillip and me and said all casual-like, "Yee-Hoo!" We both about wet our pants. It still cracks me up, just remembering his little face.
His favorite words continue to be, in no particular order: Uh-Oh, Hi, Da Da, Ma Ma, Na Na, Ni Ni, Pa Pa, Ba Ba, Ya Ya, Yeah, Doo Doo, Shoo Shoo, and Ahhhhhhhhhhh (usually right on pitch if there is music on!), but there are others thrown in at random from time to time.
He has one new word that is completely cracking me up, and I really think he knows what he's saying. After watching his new Baby Wordsworth video a few times, he has now started saying Dog. Although, when Jack says it, it comes out as a cross between, "Dawg" and "Doag" - reeeeeeaaaaally drawn out and Southern. Over and Over. Oh my goodness, it's funny.
He also has another trick that's not really a word, but something he picked up from watching all of us. Every time he takes a drink from a cup, he puts the cup down, opens his mouth as wide as it will go and in the tiniest whisper goes, "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh." Followed by an ear to ear grin. He also says, "Ahhhhhhhhhh" when someone else takes a drink, if we are silly enough to forget to do it.
Man, I love this kid!
